Project Summary: Manufacturer of Plastic Products
Project Objective:
Increase Sales and Net Profit before Tax by at least 25% between fiscal years 2004 and 2005.
Methodology:
Augment management by adding a Production Manager who can apply the principles and practices of Continuous Improvement to the company’s operations. In addition, convert the quality strategy from inspection to continuous measurement on the production line.
Results:
After seven months of fiscal 2005, Total Sales are running $1.6 million ahead of the original budget, and Net Profit before Tax is almost $1.0 million ahead of budget. Pre-tax Margin is 22% compared to a budgeted margin of 10%.
